Yes! Snap traps, glue traps, etc. must be re-set every time they're used, but the Vulcan Trap keeps on catching. So long as your bucket has room, you can keep collecting rodents. Just don't forget to empty it once in a while to avoid bacteria sitting.

Does it work on mice?
The Vulcan trap is not intended for mice. We've had customers use it to some success, but the trap door is held by our patented magnet strip, which most mice aren't heavy enough to trigger. Contact us if you have questions about this!
Most customers fill their bucket (not included) halfway with water so that rodents drown. In freezing temps, you can add antifreeze to the bucket. If you'd prefer to catch them alive and release them elsewhere, easy! Just fill with some sand or rocks to keep the bucket stable, then use your bucket handle to transport (don't forget gloves for safety!).

I had four rats I've been trying to get rid of for about 6 months. Your trap got them in 3 days. The first two days I had the platform locked to get their trust. Third day pulled the locking pin and I caught all four in one night.
After no luck with alternative means, we decided to give the Vulcan a chance. In the first two days we caught two fat pack rats. Relocated them and reloaded the trap. None lately, but also their smell is disappearing so I think we got them all for now…and good riddance. Trap is well built and sturdy, the shipping expense was our biggest thing slowing our purchase…but it has been well worth the investment.
Just spent the last 5 hours watching 9 (and counting) really really smart rats climb in and get trapped. We baited it locked for two weeks in our overrun chicken coop. We used peanut butter and bread and just released the pin today. The smaller ones don’t tip in as easily but when two get in they tip right in. It definitely delivered on the promise made. Thank you!
Been battling the woodrats, who like to try to build nests in my engine compartment. This trap has been great at capturing them. Had to play around with the bait a bit and landed on shelled sunflower seeds. Works best when I place some in the cup and sprinkle more on the tip plate and surrounding area. Caught two last night and four this week. The kids like to take a peek. They also like that I drop off the woodrats safe and sound in the woods… on the other side of the freeway. Coyotes gotta eat too, ya know. Trap is sturdy, well made, easy to put together. Safe. Easy to use, but gotta be a little crafty in bait selection and trap placement. I like that it’s American made. Strong recommend.
I have tried many traps in the past but i truly believe that this is the best one that I have ever used. It was very easy to assemble. I followed the instructions, and I baited it for a couple of days and then activated it on the third day and caught a rat immediately. I am very happy with this purchase.
